The landing craft has recently undergone extensive conversion. The vessel originally
built as a catamaran has now got the two hulls joined with bottom , deck, bow
and stemplating thereby increasing the vesselOs loading capacity by at least
30 tons. The new deckplating has been strengthened to take heavy cargo. In the
forward and aft part of that deck two 700 mm dia openings have been made right
through the hull from deck enabling drilling equipment or portable thrusters
to be installed. The new section has been divided into four different sections
whereof the middle section is a 50 m3 drytank. The others can be used as ballast
tanks in addition to existing ballast tanks. The two catamaran hulls contain
accomodation for 12-15 persons comprising 5 cabins a galley and a provision
store in addition to normal deckstores. (Not approved by the Finnish Board of
Navigation for crew). The main engines are situated in the aft part of the catamaran
hulls forward of the FW tanks, one in each hull and the auxiliary engine is
in its own room forward of the port main engine. The domestic boiler is placed
next to the galley in the starboard hull. The existing deckhouse in aluminium
will be replaced by a bigger deckhouse in steel being built at the Alandia Yards
at the present time. In this deckhouse there will be accomodation for a crew
of 2 in addition to the navigating bridge.

Inspections: The inspection(classification) period for the vessel is
8.10.1993 - 8.10.1998 The vessel was last inspected 28.5.97 for domestic trading
with maximum persons 14 including crew. The last annual inspection October 1997
is not yet carried out due to the conversion being made. The final inspection
after the conversion is not yet completed but will be completed prior to a sale.
During the drydocking the SB propeller was repaired at Finnscrew. The whole
hull was gritblasted and painted with icestrenghtened paint Intershield 350.
Therefore the hullOs underwater parts have a good corrosion prevention system
for many years to come.
The vessel is not officially for sale, but in view of the many recent requests
for this kind of a vessel the vessel can be available subject to other committments
.
